They know their equipment

Review of 221 Outdoor Power Equipment by Greg Leathers · November 3, 2024

5/5

I brought in a trimmer that would start and then die as soon as I gave it throttle. I had already replaced the spark plug and was running out of ideas. The service counter listened to what I had tried, wrote everything down, and gave me a realistic turnaround estimate. They called before doing the repair and explained what was causing the problem in plain language. When I picked it up, the trimmer started easily and ran smoothly. They also gave me a couple of fuel-storage tips that should help prevent the same issue. The repair cost was reasonable, and I felt like my equipment was handled carefully.

    Long wait for a part

I ordered a common mower part and was told it should arrive fairly soon. Weeks later, I still had no call and had to keep checking myself. The part eventually came in and was correct, but the lack of updates was frustrating. I would have been more understanding if someone had simply kept me informed.

    Good service, slow checkout

I found the right blades and got helpful advice, but checkout took awhile.

    Helpful from start to finish

I stopped in needing a replacement belt and wasn’t completely sure which one fit my mower. The person at the counter took time to look up the model, compare the old belt I brought in, and explain how to install the new one. Nobody acted rushed or tried to sell me extra parts. The store was organized, the price seemed fair, and I had the mower running again that afternoon. I’ll definitely come back when I need parts or service.

    Excellent help with my zero-turn

I was having trouble finding the correct deck belt for an older zero-turn, and the numbers on my old belt were barely readable. I brought in the model information and a few pictures of the deck. The person helping me patiently worked through the parts diagram and made sure the routing matched before I bought anything. He also explained where to check the tension arm for wear. The belt fit on the first try, and that extra advice helped me find a loose pulley before it caused more damage. This is the kind of practical help I don’t get from a big-box store. I’ll be returning for future maintenance parts.
