Repair didn’t fully solve it

Review of 221 Outdoor Power Equipment by Rebecca Shaw · September 30, 2024

2/5

I brought my push mower in because it was surging and hard to start. The staff was polite, and the mower was ready around the time they estimated. Unfortunately, after two uses it started doing the same thing again. I expected the repair to last longer, especially considering what I paid. They said I could bring it back for another look, but loading it up and making another trip is a hassle. Friendly service, but the actual repair left me disappointed.

    Long wait for a part

I ordered a common mower part and was told it should arrive fairly soon. Weeks later, I still had no call and had to keep checking myself. The part eventually came in and was correct, but the lack of updates was frustrating. I would have been more understanding if someone had simply kept me informed.

    Good service, slow checkout

I found the right blades and got helpful advice, but checkout took awhile.

    Helpful from start to finish

I stopped in needing a replacement belt and wasn’t completely sure which one fit my mower. The person at the counter took time to look up the model, compare the old belt I brought in, and explain how to install the new one. Nobody acted rushed or tried to sell me extra parts. The store was organized, the price seemed fair, and I had the mower running again that afternoon. I’ll definitely come back when I need parts or service.

    Excellent help with my zero-turn

I was having trouble finding the correct deck belt for an older zero-turn, and the numbers on my old belt were barely readable. I brought in the model information and a few pictures of the deck. The person helping me patiently worked through the parts diagram and made sure the routing matched before I bought anything. He also explained where to check the tension arm for wear. The belt fit on the first try, and that extra advice helped me find a loose pulley before it caused more damage. This is the kind of practical help I don’t get from a big-box store. I’ll be returning for future maintenance parts.
