    Useful but inconsistent

    I’ve stopped here a couple of times, and my experiences have been mixed. On my first visit, the store was clean, the coffee was fresh, and the employee working the counter was helpful. The second time, the fuel lane I chose was moving very slowly, trash cans outside were overflowing, and the restroom could have used a quick cleaning. The selection inside is useful, especially if I need drinks, snacks, or a basic item for the cab, and the location works well for my route. Parking can feel tight when the place is busy, though. I probably will return out of convenience, but I hope the upkeep is more consistent next time.

    Glad I pulled in

    I hadn’t been to 231 Plaza before, but it ended up being a great place to take my break. Pulling in with a trailer was straightforward, and I didn’t have to circle around looking for the fuel lanes. The store had a good mix of drinks, snacks, and useful truck items rather than just candy and soda. My coffee was hot, the restroom was clean, and the cashier was genuinely courteous. I also appreciated that nobody rushed me when I asked about the best way to get back to my route. It may not be a huge chain stop, but I got everything I needed with less hassle. I’ll remember this one.

    I waited at the register while the employee continued a personal conversation. The restroom also needed cleaning. I got what I came for, but the service and upkeep were both disappointing.

    Made my break better

    I pulled in after a rough morning and was relieved to find an open lane, hot coffee, and a clean place to take a break. The cashier was patient while I sorted out my fuel receipt and never acted annoyed. I left in a much better mood and will happily stop here again.

    Good, with one drawback

    I had a positive stop overall. Fueling was easy, the cashier was friendly, and the store carried enough snacks and road essentials to save me another stop. My coffee was fresh, and the restroom looked reasonably clean. My only issue was that the parking area felt a little tight with several larger trucks coming and going at once. I had to take my time getting lined up, but it was manageable. I’d return, especially during a less crowded part of the day.

    Simple and dependable

    I’ve stopped at plenty of places that make a basic fuel break more complicated than it should be. This wasn’t one of them. I pulled in, fueled up, used the restroom, and grabbed something to drink without any delays. The store was tidy and the cashier actually acknowledged me instead of staring at a phone. Access with my truck was manageable, and getting back out was just as easy. I’ll keep this plaza in mind when I’m running through Youngstown again.

    Needs more attention

    I expected a better stop based on the location, but my visit was disappointing. The fuel area had litter around it, and one pump seemed to be out without any clear sign until I had already pulled into the lane. Inside, the restroom needed cleaning and was short on supplies. I stood at the counter longer than I should have while the employee handled something in the back, and there wasn’t any acknowledgment or apology when they returned. I did eventually get fuel and a drink, so the stop wasn’t a total loss, but the lack of upkeep and service made it frustrating. I’d need to see some improvement before making this a regular stop.

    A welcome break

    I stopped here after a long stretch on the road and had a really good experience. There was enough room to get my truck through without feeling boxed in, and the fuel area looked maintained. Inside, I found hot coffee, cold drinks, and the basic road supplies I needed. The restroom was in decent shape, especially compared with a lot of independent stops. What stood out most was the person at the register. They were cheerful, worked through the line quickly, and still took time to answer my question. I left rested, stocked up, and ready to keep moving. I’ll gladly stop again when my route brings me through Youngstown.

    Exactly what I needed

    I was running behind and didn’t have time for a complicated stop. I pulled in, found an open fuel lane, and was back on the road quicker than expected. The receipt printed correctly, which saved me from going back and forth at the counter. I still went inside for coffee and something to eat, and I was pleased with the selection. The store looked cared for, the restroom was stocked, and the cashier handled several customers efficiently while staying friendly.     Mostly a good visit

    I had an easy time pulling in and fueling, and the employee inside was welcoming. The store had the drinks, food, and small travel items I needed, plus the line moved quickly. Everything was reasonably clean during my stop. The only negative was that the coffee station was low on lids and creamer, so I had to ask for both. Staff brought them out right away, which I appreciated. A little more attention there would make this an excellent stop.

    A solid independent stop

    I like finding independent truck stops that still treat drivers like people, and this one did. The employee welcomed me when I walked in and answered my question about parking without any attitude. I grabbed fuel, a hot drink, and enough snacks to get through the rest of my shift. The shelves were stocked, prices seemed in line with similar stops, and checkout was painless. Outside, I had sufficient space to maneuver my trailer and didn’t notice the major potholes that can make smaller lots a headache. The restroom was also clean during my visit. From arrival to departure, everything was straightforward. I’ll make a point of stopping here again on this route.
