I stopped in expecting to look around and ended up leaving with a mower that fits my yard much better than the oversized model I had been considering. The salesperson asked about my lot, slopes, gates, and storage space before making any suggestions. I never felt pushed toward the most expensive machine. They went over the controls, showed me the basic maintenance points, and helped secure everything for the trip home. The mower was clean, fueled, and ready to use. After two cuts, I’m very pleased with how it handles and the quality of the cut. This was a straightforward purchase, and I appreciated being treated like my questions mattered.

    Excellent repair experience

    My walk-behind mower had become hard to start and would stall whenever the grass got thick. I dropped it off at 4 Star Power Equipment and explained what it was doing. The service desk listened, wrote everything down, and gave me a realistic idea of the turnaround time. They called after diagnosing it instead of just replacing parts without approval. When I picked it up, the mower started on the first pull and ran smoothly under load. They also pointed out a worn blade and showed me why it should be replaced. The bill seemed fair for the work completed. I’ve mowed several times since then, and it is still running great.

    Poor communication on repair

    I left my mower for service after being told I would receive an update once it was diagnosed. More than a week passed without a call, and when I finally reached someone, the repair had not been started. The timeline kept shifting, and I had to borrow a neighbor’s mower in the meantime. The machine did run better when I eventually got it back, but the lack of communication and repeated delays made the whole experience frustrating. I expected much better follow-through.
