Repair took too long

Review of 1st Street Music & Sound Co. by Cheryl Swinburn · November 28, 2024

2/5

I brought my guitar in for a basic setup and was told it should not take very long. I had to check back more than once, and each time I got a different estimate. When I finally picked it up, the action was better, but there was still some fret buzz that had not been there before. The staff was polite enough, but the lack of communication was frustrating. I expected a smoother repair process and more careful follow-through.

    Not very helpful

I asked about drum heads and left more confused than when I arrived.

    Great help for beginners

I knew almost nothing about keyboards, but they explained the basic features clearly and helped me choose one without pressuring me.

    My go-to for accessories

I always find the picks, cables, and strings I need here. The staff is friendly and never makes me feel rushed.

    Used gear disappointment

I bought a used effects pedal that worked in the store but started cutting out when I tried it at home. I returned to ask about it and felt like my concern was brushed aside. I understand used equipment can have issues, but I expected more help troubleshooting or discussing an exchange.
