I brought my daughter in for her first guitar, and the staff made the process easy for both of us. They showed her a few comfortable options, explained how size and string height affect playability, and let her take her time. Nobody pushed extra equipment we did not need. They did recommend a simple tuner and a padded bag, which were both useful. She left excited to practice, and I left feeling confident that we had made a good choice.

    Used gear disappointment

    I bought a used effects pedal that worked in the store but started cutting out when I tried it at home. I returned to ask about it and felt like my concern was brushed aside. I understand used equipment can have issues, but I expected more help troubleshooting or discussing an exchange.
